Love for Italy, especially for the Italian cuisine, has inspired us to assemble the team of
enthusiasts from four continents, led by Chef Ricardo Torres, with the aim to offer an experience
to remember to true lovers of good food.

And so, Mercato Antico restaurant found its place in the marvelous Souq Al Wakrah as the only 5
stars Italian restaurant, next to the promenade along the beautiful beach, right on the same place
where once stood the old market of Wakrah.

Our wish is to provide to our guests an unforgettable adventure of travelling through the tastes
of authentic Italian food prepared by daily fresh ingredients, homemade pasta and pizza baked in
our wood burning oven.
